OK, didn't think about this long enough :-) Yes, I also think the documancer app directory would be the best place. Under Windows (at least, 95 and 98), the home directory is the place for documents, but not for configuration files. Also, files beginning with '.' are not hidden and spam my home directory. :-) Maybe the best solution is to make it platform dependent - home directory under Linux and WinNT derivates, Installation directory under Windows 95 & derivates.
