Hi!

I seem to not be able to search in active page. I think
this should work with current features of documancer
but first I tried if this is possible somehow with
embedded mozilla. I pressed F3, Ctrl+F, tried to open
context menu with right click on page area but I could
not find any search dialog from Mozilla. I don't know if
it is disabled by documancer or not available in
wxMozilla by design. But as I said I would expect it
from available controls which seem to work a little
different. Say I search for work "foo" and receive 56
results. I found in that list page I'm interested in and
now I want to find in that page word "bar". When I
type "bar" in search field I receive 74 results. Now I
have to find my page by title in that list but I dont'
remeber it's title. Insted of my page there is some page
opened after new search but it is unclear which page it
is because none of the items in results list was yet
selected and is not highlighted. My dream order of
displaying page in result of new search is:

(assuming current state is that there was term "foo"
searched, list has selected item, page related to this
item is displayed and "foo" occurences are higlighted on
that page, now I type "bar" instead of "foo" and press
ENTER)

  1. if term "bar" is present on page opened currently
where "foo" was present then this page is selected in
new result list and "bar" higlights on page
    replaces "foo" gighlights.

  2. if term "bar" is not present on page opened currently
where "foo" was present then this page is replaced with
page with best result for "bar" and item related to this
page on results list is selected to reflect what currently
    is displayed

I hope I made my problem understable

Yes, we certainly need in-page find. But it can't work this
way (unless I misunderstand) -- how would Documancer know
whether you want to search for "bar" in the page only or do
new full search? I'm thinking about two solutions: either a
"Refine" checkbox near the search field (for searching
inside previous results) or different (Firefox-like) UI for
searching within the currently displayed page. Possibly both
    of them...

I don't think it should "know" it. It should do full search but
if active page is in list of results then it should stay active
and (new) list of result should have this item highlighted. If
active page is not in list of results then it should not stay
active and should be replaced by best result and this result
should be higlighted in list of results. And least best result
higlighting should happen becuase it currently is not clear
which of the results is displayed after search.
