Hi everyone! I'm considering uploading docsis to Debian soon. My current
packaging looks like .
You will notice that there is a patch to avoid installing MIBs. Saddly they
are either taken from RCS (which are non-dfsg compatible) or simply lack a
license, thus making them non-distributable.
My idea is to upload just docsis without them. Users will need to get them by
themselves or by using snmp-mibs-downloader (thanks Richard for this tip!).
The tarball with the original source code will also drop the MIBs.
What's still missing:
- Add a note in Readme.Debian to let the user know how to use snmp-mibs-
- Add a note on how to use docsis with the MIBs downloaded with the above
