I see the following errors in the console when running docSearcher:

Index folder: I:\meta\programme\java_docsearch\.docSearcher\indexes exists

I don't know what kind of problems this will cause;
it seems to work anyway. This is a brand new JRE 1.5.0_02 running under Win98SE. Its a german Windows version, but 4/3 as a date is not
invalid (although this is 3rd of April here, not 4th of march) so this can not be the cause.
Speaking of Win98: I chose DocSearcher because I use Win and Linux on my Desktop Machine and
also I have multiple external hard drives (USB).
So I thought it would be great to have a cross-platform standalone search/index on each USB Disk. With DocSearcher I came closer to this goal than with any other other - at least I can run it both with Linux and Win and I can keep the index date on each disk. Great! However, since Paths are stored absolute , i always have to change settings each time I change the OS ... any Idea how that can be circumvented? If there were a command line to load/save preferences from different files that could help a lot ...
Best regards,
Ulrich
