Installing DockoMatic

Timothy Andersen

There a number of ways to get DockoMatic up and running. Read on to find a setup that works for you.

Requirements:

Before moving on to installing DockoMatic please note the following components are required. Depending on how you choose to install DockoMatic the setup of these components can be done as part of the installation. Note that the list does not include the dependencies of said components.

Setup script:

One of the easiest way to setup DockoMatic on your local system is by downloading the zip from the download page and running the provided install script.

Once your download is complete extract the content to a desired location and do the following (All done in a terminal/command prompt window):

    1. Change directory into dockomatic2.0 folder:
        $ cd /path/to/dockomatic2.0
    2. Make the install script executable
        $ chmod +x install.sh
    3. Run the script
        $ sudo ./install.sh <MODELLER license key>

MODELLER license key refers to the required license key for MODELLER. That can be acquired here.

VirtualBox Appliances

Another option to running DockoMatic is through a pre-packaged virtual machine (VM). These are Linux VMs with DockoMatic installed and configured. Once the appliance is imported you can start the VM and have DockoMatic up and running. You can download the DockoMatic VirtualBox appliance from the download page in the virtual machines folder.

You will need to install VirtualBox. Once that's done see this page on importing virtual machines to import the downloaded VirtualBox appliance of your choice.

The VirtualBox appliance can be found here
