Hi,

I cannot start DocFetcher.exe with AdoptOpenJDK installed instead of Oracle JRE. There appears a "Launch4j" window, that says "This application requires a Java Runtime Environment 1.7.0".

PS C:\WINDOWS\system32> java -version
openjdk version "1.8.0_202"
OpenJDK Runtime Environment (AdoptOpenJDK)(build 1.8.0_202-b08)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM (AdoptOpenJDK)(build 25.202-b08, mixed mode)

    PS: Just found https://sourceforge.net/p/launch4j/feature-requests/103/

    Thats probably the issue. How can I start DocFetcher without the DocFetcher.exe just by calling java.exe?

    Hi,

    under the question "I can't start DocFetcher at all. What do I do?" on the DocFetcher FAQ, you can find instructions on how to use the DocFetcher.bat launcher.

    In the last line of the DocFetcher.bat file, you can set the full path to your java.exe. For help with editing .bat files, please go to https://superuser.com/ or other suitable support sites.

    Closing this ticket now because DocFetcher does not officially support alternative Java runtimes.

    Best regards
    q:-) <= Quang

    Hello, you can still use the AdoptOpenJDK packages. However you must choose to create a JavaHome registry key during the OpenJDK setup. The DocFetcher then works correctly.
