Category: XSL Group: output: all formats >Status: Closed Resolution: Fixed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Joachim Ziegler (quadruplex) Assigned to: Norman Walsh (nwalsh) Summary: html + fo: 1 blank line output too much from external files Initial Comment: I use external code like this: <programlisting linenumbering="numbered"><textobject><textdata fileref="HelloWorld.pl"/></textobject></programlisting> When I transform this to pdf by the XSLT stylesheets with <xsl:param name="linenumbering.everyNth" select="1"/> the counter always counts 1 line more than the file actually contains. There is always an extra blank line at the end: ------------------------------- 1 print "Hello world!\n"; 2 ------------------------------- (Yes, I've checked for "invisible" blank lines at the end of my listings; there are none. And in HTML output, everything is ok.) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: SourceForge Robot (sf-robot) Date: 2009-04-09 02:20 Message: This Tracker item was closed automatically by the system. The extra line is emitted in both HTML and FO. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Robert Stayton (bobstayton) Date: 2005-02-01 18:47 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=193218 I'm cleaning up some old bug reports. I am able to duplicate this problem with Saxon 6.5.3, the extension/saxon653.jar, and stylesheet version 1.67.2, but I'm not enough of a Java programmer to fix it. The problem is clearly in the Java line numbering extension, because the line number is generated for the extra line. The extra line is not there when line numbering is turned off. The text file ends with x0A, with nothing after it. It should not generate a new line number in that case. I'm going to reassign this to Norm, in hopes that he can duplicate and fix it. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Joachim Ziegler (quadruplex) Date: 2004-03-09 09:11 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=725814 I am using Stylesheets 1.62.4 and Saxon 6.5.3. Here is an example output for of a little C++-<programlisting> which has a redundant line #10: <fo:block space-before.minimum="0.8em" space-before.optimum="1em" space-before.maximum="1.2em" space-after.minimum="0.8em" space-after.optimum="1em" space-after.maximum="1.2em" font-family="monospace" text-align="start" wrap-option="no-wrap" white-space-collapse="false" linefeed-treatment="preserve"> 1 #include <LEDA/string.h> 2 #include <iostream> 3 4 int main() 5 { 6 leda::string msg = "Hello LEDA world!"; 7 8 std::cout << msg << "\n"; 9 } 10 </fo:block> ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Jirka Kosek (kosek) Date: 2004-03-08 18:55 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=189932 I can't reproduce your error. Which version of stylesheets and what XSLT procesor do you use? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=373747&aid=894805&group_id=21935 |
