nuB Question - for example, with xalan 2.7.0

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<!DOCTYPE book SYSTEM "dtd/docbook.dtd" >
<book>
...
</book>

results in error "No template matches book".

but when I omit the DOCTYPE

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<book>
...
</book>

it works. But I need the DOCTYPE so the eclipse editor
knows about the docbook grammar. Same behaviour when I
use xsd instead of dtd.

Where should I ask questions like this?

    Andreas,

    The help forum is disabled because the preferred places for
    asking for help about the DocBook XSL stylesheets are the
    docbook-apps mailing list and the #docbook IRC channel:

    http://wiki.docbook.org/topic/DocBookAppsMailingList
    http://wiki.docbook.org/topic/DocBookIrcChannel

    I don't know why removing the doctype declaration from your
    document resolves the "no template matches book" error that
    you're seeing. But if you ask for help on docbook-apps or
    or IRC, I'm sure you'll be able to get it resolved.
