Hi all, In the new version (0.9.3) of dobs, the default monthly quota was changed from 1GB to 2.5GB (2560MB). That's fine for the HOME 500 plan. You'll need to change it back to 1024MB in the first few lines of the script. The 13th line needs to be: $monthly_quota =3D 1024; instead of: $monthly_quota =3D 2560; Arvind --=20 Smoking is one of the leading causes of statistics. -- Fletcher Knebel |

Hi all, A new version of dobs, the dataone usage checking script, has been released. There was a small change to the HTML code around the styling of the tables in the service records page. In case you hadn't noticed, the script had stopped working. It should be fine now. As always, it's available at http://dobs.sf.net Arvind PS: The page is still as crappy as before (possibly worse). |

Hi all, A new version of dobs, the dataone usage checking script, has been released. The BSNL site was changed a day or two ago. This release fixes the script for it. As always, it's available at http://dobs.sf.net IMPORTANT: A new option, "-b" or "--brief_output" has been added. Please use it. It should significantly speed up the output shown. It will not show you the individual session information, though. I don't know whether they did it this time or the previous time, but the site (they call it a "portal") actually has the total usage, excluding night usage. That's what the "-b" option uses. They're pretty quick. Just took them a couple of years to add that functionality. Arvind |

Hi, <quiet, controlled voice> Version 0.8.2 is released. It's at http://dobs.sf.net. Changes were made to the site again on the 20th or 21st. </quiet, controlled voice> What the **** do those guys think they're doing? They must be such a bunch of ... ah, forget it. By the way, the infinite wisdom at BSNL prevailed and the site no longer works with Firefox. Oh, joy. I hope those guys got raises for doing that. *sarcasm filter off* Arvind |

Hi all, You might not have noticed it, but the script ("dobs'') was not working anymore. It was (sigh, again) because of a small change to the BSNL site. The new version, 0.8.1 makes it work again. You can get the new version, as always, at http://dobs.sf.net. Notes: * Works again. * On a happy note, the BSNL site now works with Firefox without changing the User-Agent. * Caching might be re-implemented. Somebody asked for it. Arvind PS: The site (http://dobs.sf.net) is not updated as I'm not able to SSH to it. It will be, as soon as I can. |
