When launched with dmtcp_checkpoint, the joined java program which schedules a periodic task (through a ScheduledExecutorService) doesn't work. The same program runned directly from java works.
dmtcp-1.2.6
Jdk 1.6.0_29 64 bits / Linux CentOS 5.7 64 bits

Same problem with dmtcp-trunk
