#18 installer assumes links to man pages are gzipped
Installing DMTCP creates symbolic links for various man pages to dmtcp.1. This file is not compressed by default, but the links all end in the ".gz" extension. This causes problems for packagers who compress man pages, since the links end up looking like they were compressed twice (".gz.gz"). See https://bugs.archlinux.org/task/31072 for example.
Suggestion: don't hardcode the ".gz" suffix onto the link names. Leave it to users/packagers to choose whether to compress man pages and if they do compress they should have the responsibility to add the suffix.
