#5 Annoyance: Default Hotkeys
The default 'hotkeys' for the Volume Control and
CDControl plugins interfere with standard Windows
keyboard shortcuts. For example, "Shift + End" is
supposed to select all the text from the the position
of the cursor to the end of a line of text. But this
is also the default Volume Control hotkey in DM2 for
reducing the volume by 2%. As DM2 overides Windows'
shortcuts, this results in unexpected behavior... For
a while, I thought there was something wrong with my
DVD drive. It kept opening and closing for no reason
(Shift + Up is used by DM2's CDControl plugin).
No big deal, except it can be frustrating if you can't
figure out why "Shift + End" isn't working as expected
or your DVD drive keep opneing and closing. It'd be
helpful if these keys were changed to something like
"Alt + Shift + End", "Alt + Shift + Home", "Alt + Shift
+ Up", etc... Or at least a readme file should be
included warning users about possible keyboard
shortcut/hotkey conflicts.
BTW, adding the Windows key to as another modifier key
(i.e. Alt, Ctrl & Shift) would be nice.
