Congrats to the whole team. DLHttpd 0.6 (NewWay) is availabe for download. The new release is what you guys did: CGI + XML + all the previous changes, merged in the pack. I suggest you all to download it, test, show me if I did something wrong while packing it (heheh), and now work only over this version :) I'll try to send tomorrow a new "matrix of tasks", assigning people that have nothing to do on new tasks, create tasks that are improvement of the previous completed tasks, and show some "new ways" that we can carry the project to. Again, congrats to you all!!! [ ] Renato |

Hi all Renato, thanks for introducing me !! To add to it ... my email id is us...@ya... Log4j may be better also i think. I've started to think integrating an AOP framework into software for maintaining aspects. Maybe this way, we can control logging, etc. But we should now use Log4j i think it is best fit nowadays. I've written Logging into a file in the codebase of dlhttpd if it is already there, i can't logging facility do only write to the logging file also it dump to the stdout. How can we avoid this ? I wasnt able to do that. > Hi all, > > I'm Ewon(zho...@ya...), a new member to > coming to this team. I have been focusing on Java > technologies for 3 years. Hello Jerome, 1. Has received new versions of files, but unfortunately, the mistake has remained: uncaught exception java.lang. NullPointerException java.lang. NullPointerException at HTTPFileResource. HTTPFileResource.java:58) at HTTPResourceLoader.load (HTTPResourceLoader.java:70) at WebSite.methodGet (WebSite.java:67) at HTTPTalk.talk (HTTPTalk.java:190) at HTTPWorker.run (HTTPWorker.java:51) (note - I use Opera ) If you run dlhttpd server and try load first of all in your web-browser something like "http://localhost:8880/ash", where /ash is directory with subdirectory, you can see it too. I'll try explain: - when you call in class HTTPTalk WebSite.methodGet () (line 190): ((WebSite) webSites.elementAt (x)) .methodGet (this); in class WebSite woker=null, but in next line 191 you set WebSite woker in current HTTPWorker hw: (line 191): ((WebSite) webSites.elementAt (x)) .setWorker (hw);, therefore this exception will be only once! only in first pass! May be if change places line 190 with line191 this bug will leave? Such variant works for me without exception. 2. Now I work above performance cgi-scripts on the server. For its correct start it's necessary to transfer pairs name=value from requiest. In HTTPTalk is methods for parsing header, but this methods not return this pairs of parameters(only host, user agent, method, uri, version of HTTP). Who can help me in this case? (Maybe change a HTTPTalk source code) -- Best regards, Bogdan bnll mailto:bn...@ma... |

Jerome... something is wrong with HTTPFileResource.java... in the old release, we had, lines 81-89: directorylisting += "<td><a href='http://localhost:" + dlhttpd.getConfig().getInt("port") + path + "/" + files[i].getName() + "'>Directory</a></td>" + "</tr>"; This would generate something like "<td><a href='http://localhost:8880/directory/something"+etc etc etc, to the user... in the new release we have, lines 76-83: directorylisting += "<td><a href='http://" + hw.talker.host + path + "/" + files[i].getName() + "'>Directory</a></td>" + "</tr>"; and I guess this won't generate the same as above... in fact, Ithink the "address" will become something like http://localhost/directory/etcc.etc.... Where is the port number??????? those lines are accessed when you try to open a directory that doesn't have a index.html file, liek the "deneme" folder. try it... it generates an error and replies nothing to the browser. or if I'm wrong, tell me what I can do... because I didn't find how to get the port number, or why I'm getting error when trying to acess that folder. Hi Guys, After Renato's CVS success, I also managed to get my CVS working. The following link was quite helpful: http://sourceforge.net/docman/display_doc.php?docid=766&group_id=1 I used WinCVS and Putty on my Windoz XP box to get the cvs working.. but you guys may use other alternatives ofcourse.. By the way, there is some delay(dunnow how long..) till this page http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/dlhttpd/ gets updated after the cvs commit.. I believe it is much better and more convenient to use the cvs instead of sending around zip files.. :-) Thanks Guvenc Gulce __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo!
