#26 Revisiting home page after awhile gives the place I left off

Steve Toub

I took a break from the portal for a few hours. When I returned to http://www.dlfaquifer.org/, that URL displayed a results page, not the "home page" I expected.

Stripping out the all the stuff after the "/" in the URL may be a feature or a bug (I think it's a bug, especially someone wants to bookmark or link to a results page) but going to what I expect to be a home page and seeing my very last search results seems like a bug, UX-wise.

search is remembered almost indefinitely as part of the session information.
I have changed it so that visiting the home page clears the session.
Also submitting from the top menu search clears any other search settings.
I'd like to close this and move on with a redesign of advanced and facets

    Sounds good. Closing
