First - great work - this seems like a really useful tool.
My question is, I want to add / modify a few things. My guild uses a DKP cap, and any thing earned over the cap goes into an "auction" DKP pool.
Well, I'm a C++ person, with a little Java background. I'm just wondering how to set up the build environment. I didn't see much in the docs about it. Basically I just want to be able to modify and recompile the stuff in the beans directory.
If someone could write a quick rundown of what to set up (esp: to avoid dependency issues), I would appreciate it.

Everything you need is a free download at sun.com . You will need to download the command line complier and a few generic librairies depending on what you need to modify.
It may not be easy to put in a "DKP Cap."
Personally I say just get rid of the DKP cap, and just make sure you have about as much dkp being spent as is being earnt and you will be fine.
