A new version of the dkim-milter package is now available via Sourceforge.
There are several changes of interest in this release. One of them
involved a crash failure due to an uninitialized pointer, which has now
been fixed. Also, the "Authentication-Results" header will not be added
for sites which didn't sign the message but don't advertise a "signs-all"
Furthermore, domains advertising test mode will have failures reported as
"neutral" rather than "fail".
Finally, since DKIM doesn't care as much about the position of the
signature header relative to other ones, the header insertion capability
that was added in sendmail 8.13.0 is not required for DKIM. A
compile-time option has been added to make it possible to run on earlier
versions of sendmail, as long as they still support milter.
The formal RELEASE_NOTES:
Prevent a garbage pointer free() in dkim_free(). Reported by
S. Moonesamy of Eland Systems.
Fix bug SF1241118: Don't add an Auth-Results header for messages
which are unsigned and come from a domain that doesn't
advertise a signs-all policy. Reported by S. Moonesamy of
Report "neutral" instead of "fail" for domains advertising test
mode in their policies.
Feature request SF1238617: Add a compile-time option to map
smfi_insheader() to smfi_addheader() on machines with older
MTA and libmilter versions.
