In the dialog "View/Metadata/Document Metadata" the keys are alphabetically ordered. This is an unwanted behavior. For instance, if the metadata annotation chunk is thoughtfully set such that author and title are the first entries, then I also want to see these entries at the top, of course.

Currently djvu does not keep track of the ordering of metadata.
In fact the ordering itself is ambiguous when metadata come
from the page, the document, the includes, etc.
But we could probably work something out.

Reclassifying as a feature request, for now.

I'd like to add, that it is possible to control the order of metadata entries by using djvused commands like 'select-shared-ant; print-ant' and 'select-shared-ant; set-ant' instead of 'print-meta' and 'set-meta'. The internal order also seems to be respected when printing the metadata with ExifTool. So it comes as a surprise to find 'print-meta' and 'set-meta' having their own arbitrary ordering behavior.

    metadata sorting has been removed.
however djvused has not been fixed: set-meta still reorder arbitrarily.
    to be changed some day...
