Why hasn't this been implemented or even planned to become part of dvj_view after all these years?
For example, 3ds max got ancient bugs that can create erroneous half-transparent pixels when rendering to a premultiplied image in certain formats, hence why I always render out straight images I intend for compositing.
But previewing such straight images in dvj_view will always look terrible as dvj_view so far cannot toggle between premultiplied and straight alpha modes.
It's a highly useful and needed feature.

Thank you. While this this being considered, can it be made so that djv_convert can convert straight material to premultiplied? It can be useful when encoding nice looking previews for distribution while keeping the orignal material straight.

Hi, sorry again for the very long delay! I just released a new version which has a toggle for pre-multiplied alpha in the "Image" menu. You can download it here: http://djv.sourceforge.net/Download.html
I realized I forgot to also add the option to djv_convert, which I will do for the next version.

That's one of the first thing I've been looking for. Looking forward to it :)

Hi,
Sorry for the very late reply! I will add this to the next version.

Sure thing, good suggestion!

I made a separate ticket to add the pre-multiplied toggle to djv_convert:
