#2 bug with mysql

Hello!
I am copy file dixie.conf into /etc/dixie.conf, write minimum config string, such as mysql config, make DB for the dixie and username with ALL PRIVILEGES, and i have such problems:

What method to connect to mysql it uses: via UNIX socket or via tcp?
The second question:
What is default username and password for the fist logging?
