This problem has plagued me for years. I bring up the list of clips with a hot ket (I useCtrl-tilde), use the cursor keys to move to the clip I want and press the Enter key. Boom! "Ditto has stopped working". I restart ditto and it works.
I haven't yet come up with a reliable steps-to-reproduce but my suspicion is that it consistently occurs after a restart. It only ever occurs if I use the Enter key to paste - double-clicking is OK.
I've checked %LOCALAPPDATA%\CrashDumps but there is nothing in there.
I'm really keen to nail this one as I love the product. Is there any way I can get some debug output for you?

If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
After it crashes check the folder C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Ditto\Dumps and send them to sabrogden@gmail.com.
Another thing you can try is use "everything" https://www.voidtools.com/ to search for all .dmp files that have Ditto in the name. Everything makes it easy to search the entire computer. I'm not sure where windows places the .dmp file so search the entire computer.

First make sure you are on the latest, http://ditto-cp.sourceforge.net/ or http://ditto-cp.sourceforge.net/beta for the absolute latest. Use the installer as that registers a folder to place the crash dumps.
After it crashes check the folder C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Ditto\Dumps and send them to sabrogden@gmail.com.
