#1 install problem

sorry, I'm a git "green", but when I attempted to run
./configure, nothing happened. Only when I ran make,
something happened...interestingly (whatever happened
to ./ ?)

Anyway, I got this:
"ditdah.c:9:cdk.h: no such file or directory"

Can you help?
