I've started to do a little concrete work. I've started populating the 
Wiki InDesign Layout Artifacts Catalog page with mappings from base DITA 
types to InDesign types.



I've started filling in the base transform mappings in the XSLT code and 
will continue to do so as I have time.



I've added a simple shell script for applying the transform directly to 
a map (as opposed to going through the Toolkit).



I have not yet started developing any InDesign templates or scripts--I 
wanted to get a base XSLT prep script in place.



My plan is to create a very simple InDesign template to start with, 
ignoring mapping of elements to page masters to start out with, 
concentrating on the base import logic initially.



My goal is to have a minimally working full path in the next couple of 
weeks, as paid project work allows.



I'll also need to set up a basic Toolkit plug-in framework and the Ant 
infrastructure needed to package and deploy it.
