Hello everyone,

Marcus Glocker told me yesterday that DisplayLink will, after all, release 
source code themselves. This is supposed to happen this Friday, on the site
http://displaylink.org/. They won't release a complete driver, but rather 
a library with functions, just like what I was thinking about. So let's 
hope that this will actually happen :-)
