After using dispcalGUI succesfully on my MacMini, I'm now trying to install dispcalGUI on my new Windows 8.1 (full, NOT the RT version) hybrid.

There seems to be a problem writing to spyd2PLD.bin, because that's were the log stops and looking at other people's logs it looks like some stuff should still be happening after this.

I thought it might be a problem with the admin rights, but giving both dispcalGUI.exe and oeminst.exe permanent administrator rights didn't help.

The log looks fine. It is easy to check if enabling the Spyder 2 worked, because there will be a checkmark next to the menuitem if the file was written successfully (and obviously, the Spyder 2 will then work).

That checkmark is even there when I restart windows and start dispcalGUI.

The log then looks like this, with no reference to a Spyder 2.

Of course it is, it's a one-time operation.

There will be no references to the used instrument unless you actually start measurements.

Just checked: my Spyder still works on my Mac with discalGUI and when using the ColorVision software with Windows 8.1.

dispcalGUI in Windows 8.1 however shows no 'instrument' and I therefore cannot start any measurements.

Do you have other ideas I can try?

Did you install the Argyll CMS driver for the Spyder 2?

Yes, but something apparently did go wrong there, because it would change back to the DataColor one as soon as I started dispcalGUI.

    A fresh reinstall fixed it.

Vielen Dank für Ihre Hilfe. Sonst hätte ich nie an den Treiber gedacht.
