I just composed a detailed reply to your question on the original ticket, which was discarded by SourceForge when I attempted to post it, with a message that replies to the ticket were not allowed. So I'm posting a new ticket and this time around my comments will be brief. See the attached file, which describes the RPM on which the initial report was based, and several other RPMs I downloaded this evening. All downloads came from http://dispcalgui.hoech.net/#download. For tonight's downloads I added a suffix to the file names to differentiate among distros Some RPMs require /bin/python2.7, others (even with the same file name) require /usr/bin/python2.7. RPMs for different distros vary, but have the same file name, which led to me attempting to install a Fedora RPM on SuSE. Consider putting the distro into the file name, or at least a message on the download page cautioning that RPMs for different distros may vary even if they have the same name.
