Volume name on the Mac OSX 10.4.11 desktop is "Charlie und die Schokoladenfabrik"
Problem: disktype 9 displays truncated volume names:
--- /dev/rdisk5
Character device, size 1.882 GiB (2020966400 bytes)
UDF file system
Sector size 2048 bytes
Volume name "Charlie und die Schokoladenfab"
UDF version 1.02
ISO9660 file system
Volume name "CHARLIE_UND_DIE_SCHOKOLADENFABR"
Application "TOAST ISO 9660 BUILDER COPYRIGHT (C) 1997-2005 SONIC, INC. - HAVE A NICE DAY"
Data size 1.882 GiB (2020966400 bytes, 986800 blocks of 2 KiB)
Joliet extension, volume name "Charlie und die"

ISO9660, Joliet, and UDF all have fixed-size fields for the volume name. Basically, disktype can only display what's in those fields, and its the data in the fields that is truncated, not disktype's display.
Now, the underlying issue would be that Mac OS X gets the volume name from an additional extension record that Mac OS X knows about, but disktype doesn't. I'll investigate that if I can find the time.
