Split and merge with preserving quality

    Hi. How could I split or merge video files(with same characteristics) with preserving source quality and without any compression. I tried to use DES approach(based on DESCombine example), but all my attempts failed(I get huge size, when I omit compressor).

    Maybe someone can advise me any direction to search a solution

      It's not easy to provide you a generic solution because every container formats have there own characteristics and limitations. Additionally, I'm not sure that DirectShow is the best tool to do that.

      What primary file formats, do you plan to handle ?

        Eric, thanks for your attention to my topic. I am going to handle avi and mp4, rarely MPEG-TS. If there any tool that could help me, except DirectShow, exist - I am ready to use it.
