Dimdim Web Meeting Beta Version Released
dimdim is a browser-based web 2.0 service that allows anybody to share their desktop, show slides, as well as talk, listen, chat, and broadcast via webcam. dimdim´s hosted service is available for free and can be easily used for small gatherings, to seminars with hundreds of attendees. With absolutely no software to download for attendees, dimdim gives everyone the opportunity to hold Web meetings and to customize and brand these meetings.
Over the past month dimdim Team was busy working on packaging a beta release of the product with increased functionality for our SourceForge community.
Some of the significant feature/enhancements added in this release are as follows
- Collaborative Whiteboard
- Enhanced Presentation ( ppt and pptx) Quality.
- PDF Upload and Sharing.
- Audio-Video Test Feature.
- Hands Free option and Audio Level Indicator for the speaker.
- Feature Control: Switch on/off features before a meeting.
Linux CentOS 4.5 32-bit has been chosen as the first Linux distribution and was released last month. Please send your requests for other Linux distributions at firstname.lastname@example.org
We released Windows Beta Pack today which would support Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista.

Dimdim also recently launched its Free Hosted Meeting Edition. In this edition the software is hosted on our hardware and users can use it as a hosted service. Users can register for a free account on dimdim's website http://dimdim.com .
