We have just begun using DimDim for internal training of staff, and we are enjoying it very mcuh. I read in an older post a request to have the ability to record and archive meetings for later review, and that you were planning on developing that. Do you have a possible time frame of when that might be available?
Also, is there a way to log or email the chat session text to the presenter? It would be helpfull for them to go back and answer questions later that they may have to research and don't have time for durring the presentation.
Thanks in advance!
Thank you for the feedback. It is very encouraging to hear positive feedback from our users.
Currently it is possible to record a dimdim meeting in a non-integrated manner with another open source product - camstudio. The project is situated at http://sourceforge.net/projects/camstudio/
The recording and archiving feature we are working on is currently in planning phase, we still haven't finalized dates for it.
The chat logs can be saved currently by using the mouse to select all the text and then copying it into a notepad (or any other text editor)
Your suggestion for having chat logs emailed automatically is great. We shall include this in a future release.
As we start the meeting can we start the recording of the entire meeting session automatically, So that we play it or show it to others those who have missed the meeting.
With Thanking You
