I have installed DimDim4.5 rpm on Centos and am impressed. It works very well so far with a couple of minor niggles... The main one at the moment is that I don't see a Recording option.
I need to record and archive some presentations. The features comparison for the different versions says that 4.5 Open Source edition includes recording. ... do I have to enable it somewhere? Have I failed to include some pre-requisite?
Screenshots in User Manuals and in the DimDim instruction videos show a Record link at the top of the presenter screen, and a Record Option in the Conference Features.... I have neither.
I am starting dimdim using the startDimdim script, and creating a conference using the stock http://url:port/html/signin/signin.action
Dimdim 4.5 Open source packs do not have Recording feature. Recording feature is not part of GPL.
If you need recording feature, you need to use the hosted version of Dimdim. You can signup for a free or a Pro account from http://www.dimdim.com/registration/Dimdim_Signup.html.
Or you can use the Enterprise version of Dimdim. For more details, refer http://www.dimdim.com/products/dimdim_editions.html
