    I have made sure tha flup was intalled on both python2.4 and 2.5

    would this error also cause port 40000 not to be open on the server?

    Assistance is appreciated.

      OK so after realy looking around and going to the flup site I installed Version 1.0.1 of flup and the server started working. or at least started with no errors.

      now all I get is a cherry on my webpage.
      and I have found this error
      ==> error.log <==
      2008/12/11 09:41:50 [error] 20994#0: *1 connect() failed (111: Connection refused) while connecting to upstream, client: 192.168.0.114, server: dimdim.website4you.ca, request: "GET / HTTP/1.1", upstream: "http://127.0.0.1:40000/dimdim/", host: "192.168.0.6"

      when I look at netstat -an I do not see 40000 started and according to my start info dimdim gets started on 40005

      -- cut from startDimdim info
      [11/Dec/2008:09:40:03] ENGINE Serving on 127.0.0.1:40005
      --- end cut

      where do I change this?

      Hi,

      Are you having a public address mapped to the private ip? If this is the case, you need to configure the config script with inputs as public and private address as mentioned in rpm readme.

      For accessing Dimdim, we need to open only port 80. If you need better performance for audio/video or whiteboard, you need to open port 1935. We have proxy that will manage all the internal communication between components.

      Had you installed all the pre-requisties? If so, could you please check in /usr/local/dimdim/ConferenceServer/apache-tomcat-5.5.17/wrapper.conf whether the JAVA path configured correctly?

      Can you drop us the complete wrapper.log so that we can see where the problem is.

      Regards,
      -Rajesh

      Currently I am not even trying to reach it from a public IP.
      the local ip is on a 192.168 network and I am on the same network. I am connecting directly, no proxy involved.

      the java path has been verified and is correct.

      the dependencies have been installed. and I think I will re-intall them just to be on the safe side of things.
