Seems to me the biggest problem with the "open source" version of DimDim is the limitations added to the software to only make it possible to have two meetings at a time , with only one way video conferencing. A lot of people have been complaining about that on here. Is there any reason why we can't just go through the code and change the parts that limit the software. Then post a patch to the sourceforge site for everyone to be able to use?
Sorry I spoke too soon, looks like the 5 user limit has been removed int he new version. I'm going to work on enabling multiple video streams. If I can get it working well, I'll post a link / patch on here.
Has anyone else already done this. I'm looking for functionality similar to openmeeting?
Yes. We have removed the 5 user limit constraint based on the open source community feedback.
