dijjer closes

After starting a dijjer download everything works
smoothly. The download works and there is activity in
the 127.0.0.1:9115 website. Then after around 20-30
seconds, the download just reached around 60% dijjer
suddnyl closes the 127.0.0.1:9115 website "refuses
connection". Restarting dijjer and the circle can begin
again.
If the download is small enough it finishes in time.
I was not able to find any debug dump or anything that
I could have posted.

I too have encountered this bug. I was using FireFox 1.04 on
win2k and the download of "stealing home" started fine, but
at about halfway thru the download, it just stopped and the
dijjer daemon could not be found in my process list.
I restarted the daemon and tried again and it was fine.

This happens to me too on Windows XP, and I don't even need
to actually be downloading. If I just load the status
website in my browser, or even if I do nothing (but keep the
process window open), Dijjer disappears after a little
while, a few minutes after starting.
Obviously, this prevents me from using it all, and thus is a
rather regrettable bug. If there is some way I can enable
debugging mode on it or something, let me know. By the way,
it would be nice if you distributed Dijjer with a version
number so I could know if I was up to date (I downloaded it
about a week ago though, so I should be).

Dijjer seemed to die quite quickly when I set the web
interface page to refresh every 5 seconds. Something's amiss
here...

I also have this problem. I shall try to give as much
relevant info as possible.
OS - Windows XP SP2
Connecting through router w/ firewall
Processes that could have an effect -
- Microsoft Anti-Spyware
- AVG Anti-Virus (free edition)
- ZoneAlarm software firewall
- Google Desktop
None of these programs have shown an alert at all. ZoneAlarm
has Dijjer set up for server access. Router logs don't show
anything on Dijjer's ports.

update: (same person as just above)
Just before closing, Dijjer shows the following on its
status page:
# [Thu Sep 29 18:41:22 GMT 2005] Seed peer
seed1.dijjer.org:9114 failed to respond to join request
after 30 seconds
# [Thu Sep 29 18:41:22 GMT 2005] Failed to seed using
seed1.dijjer.org:9114
There is still nothing on either firewall log.

My workaround was to set up Dijjer as a service and have it
recover on failure. Still annoying when it bombs, but at
least I'm spared the frustration of having to start the
process again manually. Is there a possibility of seeing a
debug build so we can get a handle on what's going on?

Yep, I get the same with build 117. No matter if i use it or
not it dies after 20-40 seconds. I use winXP too.
I had better luck using build 115

I got a solution working.
I fetched the latest version (build 119)from CVS and
compiled it using the ant script. Then i ran it as a regular
jave app (i.e. not as an exe)
That started it up in a console window and it ran smooth and
stable during my testing and subsequent use. Only drawback
is that it's not running as a service, but otherwise it runs
fine.
If the project admins would compile and release a build 119
on the dijjer.org website, I think it would be fine
