#23 create administration consoles

a nice to have might be a web interface type console to
administer the engine and/or presentation layer. the
console would, in the least provide start/stop capability.
advanced features could include viewing a snapshot of
the log, analysis of activity (ie. # of requests in last X
minutes), ability to block requests from certain IP
addresses, etc...

of course, the more complex the console the possiblity
of having to add/modify the original code increases.
