Hopefully I'm not spamming the mailing list, but another thing I've just found: On the original desktop that it was working just fine on, is now no longer working. I'm certain it's plugged in (I can see it in lsusb), but not see it in xinput. I wonder if it's an issue of: it works when installed, but when any updates are done (such as installing a newer kernel), that it stops working. Or if there's just some underlying unpredictable bug in general. Nonetheless, I downloaded the source on the other computer (the clean Ubuntu 16.04 install, not upgraded from 15.10), and manually compiled, and it's working fine now on there, again.
