Hi Sarah,
    I have a Huion h610 which has a similar report rate and experienced
similar issues, but they have stopped recently. I *believe* they were
resolved when I switched to a slightly modified version of the current
driver. There is a new version of the driver in development, that *might*
resolve it for you if i'm not mistaken. By the way, what is the USB VID and
PID of your Huion 1060? I don't see it in the tablet list on
http://digimend.github.io/tablets/ . My h610 is 256c:006e (according to
lsusb) for example.
