[DIGImend-users] tablet issue in Debian testing

I recently got a Monoprice 10x6.25 (recognized by lsusb as UC-Logic Technology Corp. Aiptek HyperPen 10000U), and have seen frequent glitches in all applications, particularly Gimp, where straight lines spike out frequently toward the left and top of the cursor: http://imgur.com/XgZYe
As shown in the image, the lines always seem to be within that 90degree area in top left.

I mostly use the tablet in MyPaint, and fortunately this doesn't occur as often in that application, but it still is a definite problem.  The example was a quick doodle made in the space of about 2 minutes (in Gimp), and it glitched 5 times.

I clearly remember the the pain and suffering of trying to get a Wacom tablet working properly in Linux only a few years ago, and today it works with very little effort on the part of the user...I'm confident things will be smoothed out in time.
