I am willing to help test (and may be help in the development of) the support of the Waltop Sirius Battery Free Tablet (VisTablet Muse). I am currently using SuSE 12.1 and Mageia 2 versions of Linux. What do I need beside the 3.5 kernel and the latest Wacom driver? TIA Ivan P.S. I use to write device drivers and diagnostics for Unix in the 90s. I have a VisTablet Muse (USB) and an old Wacom Intuos (Serial Port). |

HI Ivan, That would be a good thing. Out of curiosity do you have your protocol V serial Intuos working? Favux |

Hello there, I recently purchased a Monoprice MP1060-HA60 and am having a few problems with it. I have been running Linux Mint 14, and after upgrading to Linux Kernel 3.7.1 I have support for it which is nice. There is, however, a single problem with using it in that the cursor will regularly jump to the top left corner. Due to this problem, it's rather problematic to draw with it. I'm hoping you could help me find a solution to this, Nicholas Hydock |

Hi Nicholas, The top left corner is the coordinate origin, i.e. 0,0. So somehow both the X and Y coordinates for the pen location are being dropped somewhere. Which would be why the X Server moves the pointer to the top left corner. Does the tablet work in Windows or OS X? Does this happen everywhere or in specific applications? Favux |

Hi Xen, On Jan 6, 2014 1:38 AM, "Xen Wildman" <xen...@gm...> wrote: > Today I reformatted and reinstalled Ubuntu on my system. Again the driver works but there is no pressure sensitivity. Am I doing something wrong or was there never any pressure to begin with? The tablet without pressure sensitivity would be barely useful, so yes, the pressure is supposed to be there. You can test the input stack to determine where the pressure is lost like this: 1. See usbhid-dump output. The pen input reports should have variable pressure in the last two bytes. If they don't change with the pressure applied to the pen, then most likely it's a hardware issue. 2. Check that the out-of-tree driver is used. See "modinfo hid-huion" output. It should include version field (the latest version is 3). See "dmesg" output to check that "hid-huion" driver is used and not "hid-generic". You can also check what module (version) is used to handle the tablet device in sysfs (under /sys). 3. Check "evtest" output for the pen device. It should have pressure output varying with the pressure applied to the pen. If it doesn't, then the kernel driver is to blame. 4. Check "xinput test" output for the pen device. If the reported pressure doesn't vary with the actual pen pressure, then the X driver is to blame. 5. Otherwise it is a GUI framework or application issue. Sincerely, Nick |

Hello, I own a 5543:0781 UC-Logic Tablet TWHA60 and was told on the sourceforge page <http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/digimend/index.php?title=Tablet_support_status> that I should get in contact with this mailing list to test the drivers for it (or at least I assume that's what I am to do, since I was unable to locate them elsewhere). Where would I be able to get a copy of these drivers to test them? Thank you. <http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/digimend/index.php?title=UC-Logic_Tablet_TWHA60> |

Where would I be able to get a copy of these drivers > to test them? The TWHA60 support is contributed to the upstream kernel and released in version 3.7. It still listed as "in development" as the on-the-frame button situation is unclear, but the stylus works fine. You can get the tablet working by just using kernel v3.7 or newer. Sincerely, Nick |

Nothing happens. This is somewhat strange, you should've been able to at least move the pointer. Did you check if the tablet works under Windows? I'm in the process of building a set of Ubuntu kernels which should better support your tablet, right now. Hi Dominik, First of all, please try one of the kernels I've released yesterday. This set of packages is the one you requested: https://sourceforge.net/projects/digimend/files/kernel-packages/kernel-patches-5/ubuntu_12.04_i386/ On 04/16/2012 03:49 PM, Nicodem wrote: > > > > Yes. The output shows that you're using the xf86-input-evdev driver. > > how can I change it to wacom? You don't necessarily need to, but it should be enough just to install the wacom X driver with the default configuration. Please note, that currently the tablet only works with 2000 LPI resolution and horizontal scrolling doesn't work. With evdev tilt will work in most applications, but not the eraser button. With the wacom driver it's the other way around for now. Although the eraser button would probably never work with evdev, I'm trying to make the tilt work with the wacom driver. > 50-wacom.conf file wasnt working with me is such config: > # Waltop tablets > Section "InputClass" > Identifier "Waltop class" > MatchProduct "WALTOP" > MatchIsTablet "on" > MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*" > Driver "wacom" > EndSection This snippet should work with our kernel. > any ideas? > should I dump anything more here what would be helpful ? No, please try the released kernel first. Thanks. Sincerely, Nick |

No, there is no HOWTO for now, but I did a blog post explaining some of it: https://sourceforge.net/apps/wordpress/digimend/2012/04/17/first-kernel-packages-are-out/ Please download and install these files in this order: http://sourceforge.net/projects/digimend/files/kernel-packages/kernel-patches-5/ubuntu_12.04_i386/linux-image-3.2.0-23-generic-pae-digimend_3.2.0-23.36%2Bdigimend.5.1_i386.deb/download http://sourceforge.net/projects/digimend/files/kernel-packages/kernel-patches-5/ubuntu_12.04_i386/linux-headers-3.2.0-23_3.2.0-23.36%2Bdigimend.5.1_all.deb/download http://sourceforge.net/projects/digimend/files/kernel-packages/kernel-patches-5/ubuntu_12.04_i386/linux-headers-3.2.0-23-generic-pae-digimend_3.2.0-23.36%2Bdigimend.5.1_i386.deb/download Most likely you will be able to install them just by double-clicking in your file manager or from you browser download prompt.
