The pointer device is for the pen and the keyboard device is for the buttons on the frame. The xinput output looks fine. It could be another X.org or evdev issue. Could you please capture some "evtest" output for the pen device (the one that produces output on pen movement), long enough to have possible "jumps" occur. It may work in X, but if evtest says that the device is grabbed, you will need to run it from the console. Thank you. Sincerely, Nick |

Hi All- Recently purchased the Monoprice HA60. It works on MacOS, pressure sensitivity works with the driver config software (not with gimp nor mypaint). On Ubuntu 12-10 with a 3.7 kernel it somewhat works: - Gimp 2.8.2 - Stops drawing after a while - Intermittently draws lines to left, top or left/top corner - Some semblance of pressure sensitivity (though first two issues make it hard to tell) - Inkscape - In the "File->Input Devices" box, after activating the device in the "Configuration" tab, I can see pressure register in the 3rd axis down in the "Hardware" "Test Area". I'm not sure how to make the calligraphy pen or other pens take advantage of pressure - Intermittently draws lines to left, top or left/top corner - MyPaint 1.1 - Not sure how to configure/test pressure - Intermittently draws lines to left, top or left/top corner Am willing to provide any more info that is needed. Would like to have this work consistently. Thanks for your hard work! cheers, -matt |

Hello, I'm trying to make the yiynova 19 tablet work in linux. It's this tablet I'm talking about: http://sourceforge.net/apps/mediawiki/digimend/index.php?title=Waltop_PID_0052 I tried with different flavors of latests versions of Ubuntu and Mint, and various desktop environments (unity, cinnamon, xfce) without success, here are some details: When disabling the wacom drivers and ensuring the evdev drivers only are active in synaptics, I managed to have the tablet work in mypaint and krita, but without the pressure. I'm having the feeling that I'm very close to make this tablet work. If I only lacks the pressure recognition. Maybe am I missing something simple I could do ? I just pushed "waltop" branch of usbhid-dump which I had locally for a long time and which enables this mode on Waltop tablets: http://digimend.git.sourceforge.net/git/gitweb.cgi?p=digimend/usbhid-dump.git;a=shortlog;h=refs/heads/waltop You can take a look at the top commit, or at uhd_iface_set_waltop_mode in lib/iface.c and its invocation in dump_iface_list_stream in src/usbhid-dump.c. You can build this branch of usbhid-dump to get dumps with this mode enabled. Sincerely, Nick |

Hi, I have Waltop Sirius Battery Free Tablet (172F:0502). I want to use this tablet with 4000 LPI. (Currently, kernel driver supports only 2000 LPI.) I would like to try 4000 LPI mode experimentally by using libusb-1.0. To send feature report, I'm not sure which function should I use, libusb_control_transfer() or libusb_bulk_transfer() or libusb_interrupt_transfer()? If I should use libusb_control_transfer(), what kind of value should I set to bmRequestType and bRequest argument? Please help me. |

Hi Nicholas, The top left corner is the coordinate origin, i.e. 0,0. So somehow both the X and Y coordinates for the pen location are being dropped somewhere. Which would be why the X Server moves the pointer to the top left corner. Does the tablet work in Windows or OS X? Does this happen everywhere or in specific applications? Favux |

Hello there, I recently purchased a Monoprice MP1060-HA60 and am having a few problems with it. I have been running Linux Mint 14, and after upgrading to Linux Kernel 3.7.1 I have support for it which is nice. There is, however, a single problem with using it in that the cursor will regularly jump to the top left corner. Due to this problem, it's rather problematic to draw with it. I'm hoping you could help me find a solution to this, Nicholas Hydock |

This might have been a temporary regression, and i happened to get my tablet at just the right (wrong) time...or maybe development is just that good =o) In any case, i did a system update today, and after noticing that xorg was updated i tried out the tablet in Gimp again. I doodled for about half an hour, and no glitch, which would have been plenty of time to see many glitches before today. So...i guess perhaps i can stop worrying. The tablet works well in Linux =o) Thanks for reading, and thanks for the good work. ----- Original Message ----- > From: mikshaw > > I recently got a Monoprice 10x6.25 (recognized by lsusb as UC-Logic Technology > Corp. I recently got a Monoprice 10x6.25 (recognized by lsusb as UC-Logic Technology Corp. Aiptek HyperPen 10000U), and have seen frequent glitches in all applications, particularly Gimp, where straight lines spike out frequently toward the left and top of the cursor: http://imgur.com/XgZYe As shown in the image, the lines always seem to be within that 90degree area in top left. I mostly use the tablet in MyPaint, and fortunately this doesn't occur as often in that application, but it still is a definite problem. The example was a quick doodle made in the space of about 2 minutes (in Gimp), and it glitched 5 times. I clearly remember the the pain and suffering of trying to get a Wacom tablet working properly in Linux only a few years ago, and today it works with very little effort on the part of the user...I'm confident things will be smoothed out in time. |

I am willing to help test (and may be help in the development of) the support of the Waltop Sirius Battery Free Tablet (VisTablet Muse). I am currently using SuSE 12.1 and Mageia 2 versions of Linux. What do I need beside the 3.5 kernel and the latest Wacom driver? TIA Ivan P.S. I use to write device drivers and diagnostics for Unix in the 90s.
