ello everyone! It's happening a problem with the stylus of uc-logic 6x8 graphic tables.I believe that this also occurs with all other using the same technology. I watched it from the Debian-based distributions like Ubuntu and its other flavors, 14.04 version and higher than the click of the "right" button (the top of the stylus pen button) does not respond naturally. You must click several times to make it work. You must click and click and randomly it can work. It would be possible to solve this problem and make that hardware back to work as before, in the distributions below 14:04, and 16:04 15.04,15.10? Thank you. -- Mozart Couto www.mozartcouto.com.br http://blogdodesenhador.blogspot.com <http://mozartcoutoimagens.blogspot.com> |

Sorry, I forgot to add the link in my previous message. I have a graphic tablet Genius EasyPen i405 (UC-Logic WP5540U) I have a problem with Blender on Linux (when making slowly strokes): https://developer.blender.org/T48204 The tablet works fine in Windows with Blender. The tablet also works well with GIMP, Krita and MyPaint on Linux. But the Blender developer has been suggested that these programs may be smoothing the problem. Perhaps you have a similar tablet and you can confirm the problem. There in the report I share a .blend file if you need to test. I'm a little lost because I don't know what cause this problem. Thank you. |

Hello, I have a Monoprice tablet (Picture <https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/I/41RHvPpbt6L.jpg>) that I thought was broken. I connected it to a laptop I recently fixed, and somehow it was working, more or less. Moving across the bottom left to the top right corners moves the cursor from the middle to the bottom right of the screen respectively. I decided to install your drivers in hopes of fixing this issue, but now every time I connect my tablet to the laptop, the screen turns black, and I have no way of fixing it other than restarting. Is there a way to fix this issue? Thank you. |

Hi everyone ! I've just received, and now testing, a Huion 1060Pro+ digitizer in Fedora 23 x64 kernel-4.4.6-300. So far, mostly everything (i think) works out of the box : - Pen working, and it's lighter than I expected. Feel very comfortable to use (so much that I actually prefer it to my intuos 3 pen, but it could be related to my small hand and big fingers ^^) - Tablet is working (didn't test the pressure sensitivity in any graphic app yet). The 12 express-keys seemed to work and are registered like this : 1-2 : close window or app 3-4 : save as (don't seem to work everywhere) 5-6 : minus -- (I guess it's zoom out in a graphic app) 7-8 : plus ++ 9-10 : seems to be "search" key 11-12 : copy-paste The 16 cell hotkeys doesn't react to anything, but I didn't exactly test them... And now for my question ^^ ! Since the tablet is working as it is, I'm not sure whether I should install or not the digimend driver (meaning I'm afraid to break everything). As I understand it, it provides more options and some extra features, like a configuration tool ? That could be really useful to me. For example, the tablet is in "absolute" mode and I don't have an option to change it to "relative" mode. With the intuos 3, I can switch from one to the other, and it's pretty useful... So what do you think ? Should I install it ? What should I expect from this driver ? Thank you for your help ! I'm looking for your advices ! (And by the way : thanks for all the persons involved in this project. Thank you !) *- -* *mediaklan* <med...@gm...> |

Hello! First of all I would like to thank you for your great job! I've seen on your mailing list that some people were trying to make your drivers work for Genius PenSketch M912A and I would like to ask you, if you actually made that happen, because I got this tablet from my brother and I would really like to use it with linux. Thanks alot! |

My monitor that recently arrived is a little weird. I had a bunch of issues with what screen x/kde wanted to use for a while, but after a bunch of fiddling and reinstalling kubuntu 15, finally got things to at least be consistent. The monitor comes on and works great as a monitor, doing everything it seems like it's supposed to do (the fact multiple monitors are the only place kde 5 supports virtual desktops is a little odd to me, but I'm not complaining :p) but its input device doesn't seem to do anything no matter what I do. That is, nothing I do with the pen causes anything to happen. I tried installing the latest digimend deb package and I can manually get the hid-uclogic module to come up with modprobe but I don't even know if it's working. I also put a configuration file at /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d. I tried xinput --map-to-output but that didn't seem to do anything. xinput --test for either of the input devices has never produced anything though the input devices and a mysterious unlabelled usb device are all recognised. Any advice? $ cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf.d/52-uclogic.conf # note: I have no idea if what I put in this file is "right" Section "InputClass" Identifier "Graphics tablet" MatchIsPointer "on" MatchProduct "UC-Logic" MatchDevicePath "/dev/input/event*" Driver "evdev" # Apply custom Options below. Ubuntu 14.04, 2 monitors and a Monoprice MP1060-HA60 (UC-Logic) tablet. It seems like maybe there should be a way to restore the tablet to its default state of spanning all monitors, after it has been assigned to only one. It would be nice to have a tool where I could easily assign the pen buttons and hotkeys on the tablet to run different commands or simulate different keypresses but I'm not sure if that's in the scope of what you're trying to do; maybe that's up to the tablet drivers instead. Thanks, Toby |

Dear DIGImend users and devs, We are a couple of Ubuntu users who are super glad that DIGImend is supporting our new Yiynova (UC-Logic / Huion ) tablet monitor - Thanks to you all ! We wrote to Nikolai earlier this week, he thought it might be useful to contact people on this list with our GUI prototype. My apologies if this subject is irrelevant to you. Would anyone with multiple monitor (extended desktop) setup be willing to test our config app with their pen tablet or touch device? Maybe tell us if it is useful to them, or if there are some missing features? To try it out just follow the instructions on http://wenhsinjen.github.io/ptxconf/ Also, if some software devs out there are interested to help us out with coding then that would be REALLY good. This project should work OK on debian based distros, not sure about others yet. But also it is only really in the Proof Of Concept stage, a pure mock-up. For example, the application does not talk directly to the xserver but invokes the command line apps xrandr and xinput. This is not portable we know... We hope that if this kind of app is useful to others then we might improve the code to be more portable across all linux/xwindows platforms, preferably merge it with xrestrict, which talks to x11 and xinput directly. Basically our Ubuntu 14.04 only supports GUI configuration of "Wacom (TM)" pointing devices. It seems the Wacom config rejects our Yiynova/UC-Logic/Huion type tablet. So we were forced to set xinput transformation matrices by hand or in bash scripts that we wrote. However, problem was we regularly adjust our monitor placements and setup, sometimes plugging in a TV and so on... So we decided to started this small project for adjusting the pen/touch controll graphically. Please try it out if you also share our interest in using extended desktop with your device. All the best, Hrob and Linda thorsteinssonh and wenhsinjen on github. |

Thanks so much Nick and thanks for all your hard work on this project. I'll be happy to help out in any way needed if you need assistance getting the drivers submitted upstream. I've never really done so in the past but am familiar with general build tools, git, and Linux shell commands. All axes including pressure are now reported correctly, "hovering" the pen moves the mouse correctly, and the OS recognizes the pointer. I had to configure the "UC-LOGIC TWHA60 Pen" device in Gimp, and still need to configure the pen buttons and hotkeys, but the events are at least being reported. Many thanks again, Toby |

Hello mailing list, I have received the following Monoprice tablet, which is a rebranded UC-Logic and has apparently been discussed on this list previously: http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=6814 I'm using Ubuntu 14.04, kernel 3.13, and it seems the tablet is being recognized but the axes are wrong. If I open Gimp and go to its input device config page, I can see that X, Y, and Pressure are being reported on axes 3, 4, and 5 respectively, while it seems that Gimp expects them to be on axes 1, 2, and 3. The tablet is not working as a mouse for the general OS, and I can't get it to work in Inkscape because that app apparently doesn't let me reassign axes. In Gimp if I reassign the axes it is working quite well; no stuttering or jumps, and I can get the full range of motion for all 3 axes (X and Y maps correctly edge to edge, and pressure goes from 0 to max). So in reading the previous messages for this tablet I think that this may be a newer hardware revision because the names were showing up differently for me. Following is the output from xinput list and xinput list-props for the first (of 3) devices reported (id=13): ⎡ Virtual core pointer id=2 [master pointer (3)] ⎜ ↳ Virtual core XTEST pointer id=4 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ Logitech USB Receiver id=11 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ Logitech USB Receiver id=12 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ UC-LOGIC TWHA60 id=13 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ UC-LOGIC TWHA60 id=14 [slave pointer (2)] ⎜ ↳ UC-LOGIC TWHA60 id=15 [slave pointer (2)] ⎣ Virtual core keyboard id=3 [master keyboard (2)] ↳ Virtual core XTEST keyboard id=5 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Power Button id=6 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ Power Button id=7 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ HD Webcam C615 id=8 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ USB Keyboard id=9 [slave keyboard (3)] ↳ USB Keyboard id=10 [slave keyboard (3)] Device 'UC-LOGIC TWHA60': Device Enabled (150): 1 Coordinate Transformation Matrix (152): 1.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 1.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 0.000000, 1.000000 Device Accel Profile (277): 0 Device Accel Constant Deceleration (278): 1.000000 Device Accel Adaptive Deceleration (279): 1.000000 Device Accel Velocity Scaling (280): 10.000000 Device Product ID (266): 21827, 1921 Device Node (267): "/dev/input/event20" Evdev Axis Inversion (281): 0, 0 Evdev Axis Calibration (282): <no items> Evdev Axes Swap (283): 0 Axis Labels (284): "Abs X" (351), "Abs Y" (352), "Abs Z" (604), "Abs Rotary X" (605), "Abs Pressure" (353) Button Labels (285): "Button Left" (153), "Button Middle" (154), "Button Right" (155), "Button Wheel Up" (156), "Button Wheel Down" (157) Evdev Middle Button Emulation (286): 0 Evdev Middle Button Timeout (287): 50 Evdev Third Button Emulation (288): 0 Evdev Third Button Emulation Timeout (289): 1000 Evdev Third Button Emulation Button (290): 3 Evdev Third Button Emulation Threshold (291): 20 Evdev Wheel Emulation (292): 0 Evdev Wheel Emulation Axes (293): 0, 0, 4, 5 Evdev Wheel Emulation Inertia (294): 10 Evdev Wheel Emulation Timeout (295): 200 Evdev Wheel Emulation Button (296): 4 Evdev Drag Lock Buttons (297): 0 So I'm really hoping that this is a simple matter of changing an evdev configuration to "re-map" the axes and then everything will just start working correctly? Even though there's no entry under "Virtual core keyboard" even the hot-keys on the side are working, and clicking the pen buttons seems to be recognized although I'm not sure yet whether they are mapped correctly either. I apologize if this is a duplicate but from all the previous posts I found, this issue doesn't really seem to be the same as anyone else was previously having. Many thanks for your time, Toby |

Hi, In gimp the tablet options is in the Configure Input Devices dialogue. It can be accessed from the preferences window's input devices -> Configure Extended input devices or from the Edit menu's Input devices item. I guess you are talking about that the tablet is not appearing on that dialog. Can you give the check output of the xinput command running from the terminal? The tablet is appearing on the list? If not probably your tablet is not set up correctly. And as far as I know the intuos 5 is a wacom tablet so I guess you should follow the instructions here: http://linuxwacom.sourceforge.net/wiki/index.php/Main_Page. Kind regards: Viktoria "Zeyneb A." <zey...@gm...> írta: >Hello,I'm having problems setting up pressure sensitivity in GIMP.I am using GIMP 2.8.10 with an intuos 5 tablet. Hi. I am interested in buying a tablet to explain math, writing equations, drawing graphics, ... like a traditional whiteboard. I'm interested in tablet HUION 1060 PRO + by the large screen size and price, but also need to have drivers for Linux. I have some questions for you: 1. Are there drivers for Linux for this tablet HUION 1060PRO +? 2. In case this tablet hasn't Linux drivers, what tablet (good value for money) you would recommend that it has Linux drivers? Sorry but my English is not good, I have translated it with google traslate the text in Spanish. Thank you very much and regards. Josep Escrivà |

Hi, I am looking to buy Yiynova ´s new tablet monitor, MVP20U+RH. I would like to find evidence that DIGIMend´s kernel driver for Yiynova MVP22U+ can really work for this new model on my Ubuntu14.04. I don't seem to see any post of problems of this particular model on your archive. Do you know if Yiynova MVP20U+RH can work properly on Ubuntu 14.04 with your MVP22U+ driver? Best regards, WenHsin |

Hi everyone, I just released a new version of digimend-kernel-drivers, v6: https://github.com/DIGImend/digimend-kernel-drivers/releases/tag/v6 Important changes from v5 release are: * Merge hid-huion module functionality into hid-uclogic module. The hid-huion module is no more. * Add hid-kye module with additional support for KYE MousePen i608X v2. * Make hid-uclogic module name device nodes according to their usages, so applications can distinguish pen/mouse/button/other event devices. Among other things this solves some issues with GIMP. Thanks, Benjamin Tissoires! * Make hid-uclogic module discard dummy devices reducing the application and user confusion. Thanks, Benjamin Tissoires! * Enable abstract frame button reporting mode for Huion tablets, which allows their use and rebinding of buttons with xf86-input-wacom and xsetwacom. Thanks, Benjamin Tissoires! * Add support for UC-Logic TWHA60 v3. * Add Polostar PT-1001 driver. Thanks, Yann Vernier! * Add support for UGTizer GP0610 / iBall PF1064U. * Add support for Ugee G3. Thanks, Alberto Glez-Barreda! * Add experimental support for Ugee 1000L and M708. * Add experimental DKMS package for Debian - should remove the need to rebuild and reinstall the driver after kernel upgrades. **IMPORTANT**: Before upgrading, remove the old driver version by executing "sudo make uninstall" from the source tree of that driver. Debian and derived distro users: please try the new .deb package with DKMS support. It should remove the need to reinstall the driver with each kernel upgrade. Advanced users of other distros: please try the experimental DKMS support. See updated installation instructions: https://github.com/DIGImend/digimend-kernel-drivers/blob/master/README.md Please report any issues you find here: https://github.com/DIGImend/digimend-kernel-drivers/issues/new Nick P.S. Please pardon the silence I was treating you with the last few months. I had little time for the project and it shrunk further recently. Everybody are welcome to help, as usual! If anyone has enough time and expertise and wishes to take over, contact me! |

Hi, I had similar issues with my tablet. See the bug report here: https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=733159 Unfortunately I couldn't test the latest Gimp because I use Ubuntu 14.04 and the Gimp version is 2.8.10 there. I suggest you to try the latest version of Gimp (I believe it's 2.8.14) and if the problem occurs reopen the bug. Hi all, I hope I'm doing this right. Here's the thing: I've got a Huion h610 graphics tablet and I used it with my tow machines. The first machine is running mint Cinnamon 64bit and pressure sensitivity doesn't work in GIMP and Inkscape. It works without a problem in Krita. The second machine is running Mint Xfce 32bit and pressure sensitivity works in GIMP and inkscape (haven't installed Krita. Too many KDE dependencies, and I don't really use this computer for graphics). Another fun fact – I used a friend's WACOM tablet on the mint Xfce system some time before I tried the Huion tablet. I don't know if that's related, but it still shows in GIMP's input devices. On both computer the Huion tablet is recognized. Could this be related to the fact that the programs are 32bit? In windows I got pressure sensitivity working in GIMP by installing the 32bit program (on a 64bit computer). In linux it's not so simple to install a 32bit program on a 64bit system because of conflicting dependencies. I'm willing to experiment. Is there a way I to solve this? אלעד הן נייד: 052-5348554 |
