Hi guys, I am Prashant and a newbie. I installed Linux Mint Rebecca Xfce a couple of days before. My system specs are: Intel D945GCLF Motherboard with on-board Graphics Intel Atom 230 1.6 GHz CPU 2 GB 533 MHz Dynet Ram 160 GB HITACHI SATA HDD 160 GB SAMSUNG SATA HDD USB Optical Mouse PS/2 Keyboard iBall PF1064U Pen Tablet Linux Mint Rebecca (17.1) Xfce (Linux 3.13.0-37-generic #64-Ubuntu SMP Mon Sep 22 21:30:01 UTC 2014 i686 i686 i686 GNU/Linux) My problem is, my pen tablet is not getting recognised properly. When I checked in Settings > Mouse and Touchpad, it shows one USB OPTICAL MOUSE and two UGTABLET TABLET GP0610 (no typo here). As a result, my pen tablet is not working. It clicks sometimes though, but that's it. The company website has drivers and config software for Windows only. And on Win XP, my tablet works perfectly. If possible, please help me here with the problem. Also if possible, provide info of any configuration utility by which I shall be able to configure the buttons, shortcuts and wheel on my tablet. Attacments: Archive of diagnostic files as per suggested on your website. LinuxMint Forum Link: http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?f=49&t=194418 Thanks & Regards. |

We can try to get your tablet supported. For the start, please install
uclogic-tools package:
https://github.com/DIGImend/uclogic-tools/releases/tag/v4
Please see https://github.com/DIGImend/uclogic-tools#usage for usage
instructions, and send the output of "uclogic-probe" for your tablet.

Hi Nick. Thank you so much for your kind reply. I tried the uclogic-tools package installations you gave me the link to. I tried every one of them. The deb package on there is only for amd 64 bit. So it is not getting installed obviously. I tried others too. But either they are failing or not showing compatibility with my intel 32 bit Linux mint Rebecca Xfce. I'll be thankful yet again if you provide me a link to compatible packages which will easily get installed on Linux Mint Rebecca Xfce 32 bit. > > ---------------------------------------- >> Date: Sun, 26 Apr 2015 18:17:28 +0300 >> From: sp...@gm... >> To: pra...@ho...; dig...@li... >> Subject: Re: [DIGImend-devel] iBall PF1064U Pen Tablet not working on Linux Mint 17.1 Xfce >> >> Hi Prashant, >> >> On 04/25/2015 09:57 AM, Prashant Gawande wrote: >>> My problem is, my pen tablet is not getting recognised properly. Try downloading the latest source:
https://github.com/DIGImend/uclogic-tools/archive/master.zip
and building it as described in README.md:

So, this is a UC-Logic tablet, masquerading as an Ugee tablet, masquerading as an iBall tablet. Wonders of rebranding! This tells us the tablet is likely compatible with out uclogic driver, but we still need some more information. Could you please send the output of "sudo lsusb -v" with your tablet plugged in? > It'll be one of the greatest moments of my life if my pen tablet starts > working on my LM :D; and you guys will be my superheroes; obviously ;P We'll not be able to do that without your help, so reserve some credit to yourself :) Nick |

I really appreciate your kindness and support Nick. I am attaching two text files. One has the data returned by "sudo lsusb -v" with everything already plugged in there respective usb ports (FileName: Everything Plugged In). And the other file only has the data collected with only the tablet plugged in (FileName:Only Tablet Plugged In) . I hope I did it correctly. Please let me know if you want anything more. Thank you, yes this is sufficient. I made a trivial fix to support your
tablet. Please try the latest development version:
https://github.com/DIGImend/digimend-kernel-drivers/archive/master.zip
See instructions in README.md:

The output of "/sbin/modinfo hid-uclogic" would also be useful. And the output of "xinput list" as well. You might need "xinput" package installed for the latter. Nick |

Ah, thank you. I forgot to add udev rules for your tablet.
Please redownload the updated development version:
https://github.com/DIGImend/digimend-kernel-drivers/archive/master.zip
build it, install, and try using your tablet again.
Thank you.

Hi Nick, Firstly, let me congratulate and thank you for making my pen tablet work :). It's moving now. But still there are some problems: * When I click my pen for even a single time, it returns the result of numerous clicks. This is irrespective of any app. * In Gimp or Krita, when I paint, it starts very very slowly and then continues normally. This is for every single stroke. Please help me here. :) ---------------------------------------- > From: pra...@ho... > To: sp...@gm...; dig...@li... > Date: Wed, 29 Apr 2015 02:37:45 +0530 > Subject: Re: [DIGImend-devel] iBall PF1064U Pen Tablet not working on Linux Mint 17.1 Xfce > > Just one question :P; do I have to uninstall the previous installations using "make uninstall" before installing this package? > > ---------------------------------------- >> Date: Wed, 29 Apr 2015 00:03:47 +0300 >> From: sp...@gm... >> To: pra...@ho...; dig...@li... >> Subject: Re: [DIGImend-devel] iBall PF1064U Pen Tablet not working on Linux Mint 17.1 Xfce >> >> On 04/28/2015 11:54 PM, Prashant Gawande wrote: >>> I am attaching the latest syslog file herewith. This is some progress at least. Once again, please send the contents of /var/log/syslog after you plug the tablet in. Then please send the output of "xinput list". And lastly please send the output of "evtest", when you do a stroke with the pen on the tablet surface. Upon starting evtest choose the device which produces some output when you move the pen. Evtest is usually packaged in package named "evtest". Nick |
