If I knew what to do with the information I would be glad to try writing the driver. I've used Linux for a long time and can do some limited hacking, but have only built one driver and that was a very long process (and long ago)! If I can help out, let me know. I'm not a programmer, but I've been a Linux user since Debian 1.2 came out and I've done a fair bit of hacking to get my hardware running. The tablet is a Genius Pensketch M912 with mouse. If the files aren't good, let me know and I'll redo them. Thanks! |

I have a Yiynova MSP19U+ (UC-Logic) as I cannot afford a Wacom Cintiq. However, there are no working drivers for it. I did try to use Wizardpen. I only got the pen to click, but the cursor will not move. I cannot speak for pressure levels, since I have not gotten any further. As you can see that has been orphaned and no longer in development, as well as is too old. I would like to send you the information on it and participate in anyway I can. If you would like me to help, please let me know. Linux needs as much help as it can get. Linux has so much going for it, but the only thing that holds it back is compatibility issues. I did try using this page: http://digimend.sourceforge.net/wiki/Collecting_tablet_diagnostics. However, I had no luck. If it helps, I am using Linux Mint 17 - Cinnamon. The appended Archive is valid for: - Waltop Mars A - Medion P82018 ( MD 86635 ) There is only one "fault" with running it using the Wacom driver: Upper and Middle button aren't distinguished by the Wacom driver. Although HCIDump cleary can separate then ( XX 12 vs XX 13 ). There are sensing fields serving as buttons, but I have no idea how they are expected to be configured. This is likely due to the weird way Waltop tablets report buttons and a lack
of kernel fix for this tablet.

We don't support these, mostly due to their low actual usefulness.
Daniel, adding this tablet and the diagnostics to the database ("tablets"
repo) might also be a useful task.

Hi Todd, If you are using Ubuntu Natty or newer I think the tablet should be working. That's because I believe it is already supported but has a name new to us. Open a terminal and type: lsusb and hit enter. If you see a tablet line with 5543:0042 it should be supported. The 0042 is the Product ID, basically the model.
