    pScripting compatibility
very nice, that diddlebug now works on the palm m505.

i am using the pscripting features of pedit/laptophack from paul nevai more and more. they add scripting to palm computers. i want to activate a 6 min. countdown. with the control activating feature it is possible to activate controls, open lists etc.

the countdown control in diddlebug can't be seen by the pscripts, but it reaches all other controls on the bottom of the screen.

i asked paul nevai (in the very active and interesting group) about pedit and laptophack about this and he is shure, that his software is ok. can you imagine what makes the countdown control ivisible? is it an unusual control?

i would appreciate very much, if on one way or another i can set countdowns by pscripts. if you need informations, please contact me. it would be nice to know, if my subject is interesting for the developers, because if not i would have to look for another solution, which would be a pity.

ps. i placed a feature request in the features tracker.

The "countdown control" is not a real Selector Trigger, but a "gadget" (a kind of reserved screen area that's completely handled by the programmer).

I could introduce a keyboard command to open the popup list, I don't know if there's any other way to make this compatible with pscripts.

      hello peter putzer,

thank you very much for your reply.

i think the keyboard command is great. the list will be no problem, but then i need a 6 min. countdown, which can be set by the "Spezial..." entry. here i think are used some specialities too. would it be possibel to write the time here as in the datebook?

      best regards

The "Custom..."/"Spezial..." entry doesn't use any special controls, so I'm not quite sure what the problem with pscript is in that case.

i don't know for sure, but i see no way to set hh, mm, ss in their "fields".

my suggestion is, if you could realize the entry to the dialog as described, i can try and will report how far i can get. i will try with "tap" or the "ppointer".

          best regards

They are not "fields" but "lists". "Field" is a specialized type of control for text entry.
