dictd-1.7.1 release uses only alphanumeric characters for searching. This is Ok for ordinary dictionaries, but why not to create dictionary with non-alnumspace characters. The attached patches allows to do so. DICTFMT should be run with '--allchars' argument and adds '00-database-allchars' special entry to the .index file. DICTD uses it and changes search algorithm respectively. The patches assumes that my previous patches are also applied. I've created a small "smiley" dictionary and it is avalable at mova.org or http://mova.org/~cheusov/cgi-bin/dict.cgi Best wishes. |
