#108 DIA fails to launch on Macbook Pro running OS X 10.11.2

When I tried to run DIA it failed. So I tried to launch from terminal so I could see what went wrong and got the following.

Is the problem my older version of XQuartz - though XQuartz 2.7.8 is listed in the label above, I'm running XQuartz 2.7.2

I went and updated XQuartz to 2.7.8 - still no joy.
