    Hi,

    I have 4 subnets and corresponding ports are configured in a cisco switch:

    192.168.116.1-192.168116.254
    192.168.117.1-192.168.117.62
    192.168.117.64-192.168.117.126
    192.168.117.128-192.168.117.192

    I've configured range_set as per above...

    [RANGE_SET]
    DHCPRange=192.168.116.1-92.168.116.250
    DomainServer=192.168.116.1
    Router=192.168.116.254

    and same or remaining...

    unable to get the right IP as per the port I'm plugging in...the dhcp works only if the server and client are in same subnet ports.

    am i missing something in config...?

      I'm also having the same problem - I'm obviously missing something silly. Any hints appreciated :)

    If you want a DHCP server to deliver addresses in another subnet than the one it is directly connected to, you need to setup a DHCP relay on your router. Cisco call it IP helper. The relay will take the DHCPDISCOVER request made by the host in broadcast and forward it to the DHCP server specified in the DHCP relay configuration.
