As of 2022, dh256 is at best only a historical curiosity. Two of the hash algorithms are publicly broken. The rest are probably either breakable right now if anyone cares enough, or soon will be. Designing a secure hash algorithm is a whole lot harder than i thought back in 2004.
It's out, with a replacement algorithm instead of the broken th192. Otherwise no significant changes. This will be the last release for quite a while unless there are bug reports, feature requests, or something else requiring action. As far as i am concerned, the program is finished now, but i am keeping it at "alpha" status because i don't know if anyone else has tested it.
There is a serious design flaw in the th192 hashing algorithm. It is almost certainly insecure. th192 is one of the options for dh256 version 0.04 . It was not in earlier versions, and it won't be in later versions. This doesn't affect the other algorithms in dh256.
I've added sha-256 and a another new experimental algorithm. Otherwise not much is different.
0.03 is out, with a minor bug fix, and support for the sha-1 hash algorithm as well as dh256. Md5 checksum for the file should be

Minor changes for the dh256 fast hash program. Please update if you already have 0.01 . File md5sum is a9abd01edc0a3af8b3db83794deca6e8 dh256-0.02.tar.gz
A tarball has been uploaded and is apparently available. Correct md5sum is
