Just a short question. As I wrote here I had to replace my
board electronics recently. With this replacement I got also
a newer version of the boards system software. The old one
was 1.5, the new one is 1.9. Now I experience some
differences, maybe that is normal and there changed something.
dgtdrv calles several status messages from the board upon
init, that is it requests the ROM revision, the serial
number of the board, stuff like that. (An "all you can
get" call one could say).
On 1.5 it was displayed nicely after the logoplate as
expected. Since the 1.9 revision all fields are empty.
Tracking it down a bit more I find that the board messages
seem to arrive delayed at the dgtnix layer. That is all
this informations are there only after a while. As far as
I understand dgtnix thes values are filled into global
variables with empty values initially. They are not filled
by an explicit call but "once an appropriate message
arrives from the board".
"Once upon a time" I implemented dgtdrv on base of craftys
code. I could swear that I was not able to use my serial
to usb convertor with that edition on the ROM version 1.5.
Now it works perfectly. Definitely an improvement, though
I have much cleaner code with dgtdrv2 now which always did
