        Well. It's a bit different.
Just, define a project : Menu Project » New project
This project will correspond to a local directory *and* its Web-server

        or

Go to Options » General options
        Select the fifth tab (Web-server)
Enter your local directory (corresponding to the server's root) and enter 8080 as port number
        Click OK

        Regards,
        Pierre.

      sorry for myself being slow...

what did you mean by "(corresponding to the server's root)"

once again im sorry its just that im still learning...

        > what did you mean by "(corresponding to the server's root)" ?

Dev-PHP has its own embedded web-server. A web server needs a root : a mounting point - For instance, http://devphp.sourceforge.net/ is corresponding to some local thing like /home/groups/d/de/devphp/.

By the way, what's the version of Dev-PHP ?
        Could you check the Dev-PHP CE 2.x [ size 13 MB ]:
        http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/devphp/Dev-PHP2_CE.exe?download
There are some PHP environments with their Xdebug libraries and a little project.
