It would be nice to have an internal ability to convert files from one encoding to another "on the fly" on a per-project basis.
In Russia the common situation is that I do my work in Windows (CP1251 codepage), but scripts will be run at UNIX (KOI8-R codepage). So it would be very convenient to set a "save to" encoding for project, and then have all files automatically converted from koi8-r to 1251 on open, and back to koi8-r on close.

It would be very good feature. Right now it's difficult to create scripts for polish web pages (in Windows 1250 or iso 8859-2, preferably iso), because of coding in which files are saved. And i'm not able to set it properly with DEV-php 2.0.12. But, if it's possible, could someone tell me how?
